My Approach

For the first 15 years of my adult life, I worked in television, film, commercials, and live stage shows as a professional dancer. I had sustaining power in a highly competitive arena because I could endure and transcend the challenges of the process. Despite the mental or physical barriers that presented on my path, I forged ahead on the path, anchored to my value of connection~ to my art, to my mind, and to my life. My love for connection always took center stage.

So why therapy, you ask? The therapeutic process is rooted in connection, transparency, and authenticity. I feel a profound honor in cultivating a safe space to assist my clients in tracking and transforming their narratives. I work from a collaborative, strength-based frame, integrating mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral interventions to assist in unpacking my clients' narratives to effect change. I wholeheartedly believe one of the portals to healing exists within the therapeutic relationship, and I hold with the greatest intention a non-judgmental atmosphere for my clients to authentically process vulnerable content.

My experience includes providing weekly individual, couple, and conjoint family psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults to assist clients in processing and managing presenting issues such as, anxiety, depression, bereavement, health stressors, relationship distress, developmental impasses, and trauma-related content.

I provided collaborative care, conjunct weekly psychotherapy to commercially sexually exploited youth, by assisting  survivors in managing crises situations and developing emotional regulation skills to mediate environmental challenges.

I facilitated Mindfulness and Parenting intensive workshops in middle school settings, where I provided guided meditation and mindfulness-based interventions to educate, process environmental stressors, and enhance the parent-child relationship.

Believing wholeheartedly in the need for mental health professionals to advocate for the betterment of society, I presented a bullying awareness program to middle school children to facilitate discussion and foster awareness about the effects of bullying. With my extensive professional background in the performing arts and athletics, I created and implemented performance enhancement workshops to help teens and young adults break the mental and emotional barriers impinging optimal performance.
